Artist Statement:

“The world that I create is a world full of bubbly eyed creatures that dance and play. There isn’t supposed to be a deep meaning or purpose behind it. It is what it is.  My characters float around wielding daggers, they talk about poop, and they vomit a lot. I don’t want them to worry about life. I want them to play and dance and be happy.

I’ve chosen to become a cartoonist with my life. I have no real intentions of becoming rich or famous. I simply enjoy drawing fun, light-hearted pictures that make people smile. I don’t want to start an amusement park or have my characters printed on every lunch pail in America. The most I can dream of is to have a small apartment with my wife where we can have a nice garden and make artwork, comics, and music for people to enjoy. Maybe one day we’ll have children and they can enjoy the world we’ve created for them; a world of bubbly eyed creatures that dance and play.

About the collaboration with BYDFAULT:

When BYDFAULT contacted me about designing artwork for a good cause, I was very excited to participate.  I am proud to support a company that focuses on doing good and tries to make life better for others.  A friend of mine, Penny Richards, introduced me to an organization called Shane’s Inspiration.  This organization is dedicated to improving the lives of children with disabilities.  Shane’s Inspiration builds universally accessible playgrounds for children with disabilities and also aims to inform and educate people about people with disabilities.  I have a heart for this cause and hope you join me in making these children’s lives better.  For more information about this organization, please visit

The world I desire is simple, but the world we live in is not. Nowadays, it seems that we’re not allowed to live simple lives. In order to live in society there’s paper work to be done, lines to wait behind, taxes to be paid; fines and penalties to those who mess up. We worry about brand names, titles, and degrees in order to compete. We forget that surviving only takes a little food, water, and heat.

I’ve stopped believing that I can live happily in this world around me, so I created my own. It’s a happier place for me. You’re welcome to experience the world that I’ve depicted. I only ask that you leave your worries behind and have fun. Not everything in life is supposed to be serious.”
